Biography
John S. Moore (saxophone) holds degrees from Florida State University and Campbellsville College in Kentucky. He has served as saxophone instructor at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, Campbellsville College and the University of Kentucky. For several years he has been Co-Coordinator of Chamber Music at the Saxophone Institute, which is held at Transylvania University. The Saxophone Institute is one of the few music workshops where musicians of all ages and experiences work together as equals. John, a native Kentuckian, has performed in Australia, Canada, Japan and the United States and has been recorded on ETHOS RECORDINGS, Golden Crest and Dinant Records. He was a Bronze medalist at the First Osaka International Chamber Music Competition and Festa held in Osaka, Japan, and a semifinalist in the Concert Artists Guild International New York Competition.
